Update!!!
PLEASE HELP!
August 11, 2008 We are now, and have been for the last few months rescuing
other abused, abandoned and homeless animals. We now have 10 cats, 5 dogs, and an iguana! We are in desperate need of donations
of cash (for vet care, feed, hay, 20 plus acres and a home for these needy loving animals); donations
of feed, hay, land, farm equipment and animal toys are of need also. We are not particular about any donation no matter how
small or large! If you (or someone you know) can help in any way contact us at 563-503-9795, or mustangsrhorsesrecue@gmail.com. Please help us
continue our comittment to these loving animals. You are welcome to print any or all of our website to make everyone, everywhere,
aware of our rescue organization. PHOTOS OF OUR NEWEST "FAMILY MEMBERS" WILL BE POSTED SOON.

Mustangs
R Horses Rescue is a non-profit organization, started by five concerned, committed, horse-loving women. We are located
in Clinton County, near DeWitt, Iowa and are operating in the central portion of Eastern Iowa.
Our mission
is to provide shelter, loving care, rehabilitation, retirement and adoption services for abandoned, abused, neglected, and
unwanted Mustangs.
Though our primary focus is on Mustangs, no breed of horse or horse in need will be turned
away.

Mustangs
The Mustang, so
mystic, so majestic, so grand, A symbol of freedom across our great land. Across lands and across times many stories
have been told, Of all the wonders and mysteries that these creatures do hold.
The Mustang is our nations noble
steed, Blessed by God with perseverance, beauty, intelligence and speed. Through hardships and trials the mustangs
survive, Bringing to all the glory of being alive.
The Mustang is bred by Gods loving hand, A
gift so grand that God has given to man. Created as only God could according to his plan, These horses add beauty
and grace to our land.
The Mustang through plains, valleys and mountains run free, And mustangs now gentled are
friends to you and me. The Mustang so giving, try to please in all that they do, And only ask for understanding and
kindness in return from you.
The Mustang is a friend indeed tried and true, He puts all his faith, love and trust
in you. Through gentle hands and a loving touch, These Mustangs learn to love you so much.
The Mustang, willing,
caring and faithful indeed, Has been in trusted by God to you and to me. In our hands we pray that they meet no harm,
And can live out their lives in peace without alarm.
The Mustang, whether driving, riding or just a friend in
need, Is the most true friend you will ever have indeed. So I thank God for without my Mustangs I know not what I
would do, And I pray that God will bless you with their special friendship too.

Sabra was our first adoption. She was adopted from
the BLM as a yearling filly.
In working with her to overcome her wild instincts, our director's love for horses,
most especially Mustangs, was born.
Over the course of one summer she went from being a skittish youngster to
a calm, loving and trusting friend.
While Sabra has had a good home, the same can not always be said for other
Mustangs adopted from the BLM. The BLM has strict requirements for those who adopt wild Mustangs but they do not have the
resources to monitor them throughout their lives.
Our hope is to offer Mustangs, or any horse, a safe haven when
home is no longer that place.
