About Us

Vikki K. is our board President and the driving
force behind Mustangs R Horses Rescue Ranch. She cannot stand to see any animal suffer but her passion for horses, primarly
Mustangs, inspired her to begin rescuing horses.
The picture is of her first Mustang Sabra.
Her first
rescue was by pure chance while at the local sale barn. Her husband had pointed out a buyer who bought horses for camp and
he told her that he was also a kill buyer.
Vikki spent the day tailing him. Most of the horses he was looking
at were for camps but she did overhear him talking about one he planned to buy for kill.
The owner of the auction
barn was an old friend, so she spoke to him and bought the horse first. That was how Santiago came to live at the Mustang
R Horses Rescue Ranch.
Vikki has taken her passion for horses and compassion for animals and channelled it into
this organization. __________________________________________________________

Jocy J. is our Vice-President she loves all animals.
Jocy has a menagerie that includes cats, dogs, and llamas. She also loves having horses on her acreage. She says
that she loves to watch them run around the pasture and play with each other.
Two of her llams, Zoey & Andy,
are pasture buddies with Santiago. They make perfect mates since Santiago is no longer able to keep up with the other horses. Unfortunately Andy passed away this spring. Zoey, Friday,
and Noel(Zoey's offspring born in Dec. 2007) now keep Santiago company. __________________________________________________________
